Carrie Gene Valentin of Fayetteville passed away Thursday, August 29, 2019. She was born February 5, 1974 in Indianapolis Indiana to James Stanley Smith and Stephanie Gene Hedrick Smith.
Gene was an amazing woman who always smiled no matter the circumstances, never met a stranger, and she never had a dream that she did not chase. Gene traveled the US with the Barnum and Bailey Circus up until a few years ago, which allowed her to take her children to every state and to see all the beauty our country offered.
Gene was preceded in death by her mother Stephanie Gene Hedrick Smith and is survived by her father, James Stanley Smith; stepmother, Peggy Curtis Smith; husband Louis Ramirez; one son, Marcos Valentin; two daughters, Lexie Smith and Nadiya Valentin; one step daughter, Megan Hunter; three grandchildren, Jaylin Tyler, M
Services will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 6:30 P.M. at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1301 Prospect Street, Indianapolis, IN 46203 with visitation starting at 6:00 P.M.
