Henry Leroy “John” Fields, age 63, of Raeford, passed away September 28, 2019. John was born January 27, 1956 in Scotland county, NC to Travis Edwin and Helen (Hubbard) Fields.

John is survived by his mother, Helen H. Fields of Raeford, NC and two brothers, Emek Siddeem and wife Deborah of Raeford, NC; Charles E. Fields and wife Hilda of Raeford, NC; he also leaves behind two aunts, several cousins and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Travis Edwin Fields.

Throughout his life he was an accomplished artist, avid collector of books, sports and movie memorabilia and always cared deeply for nature and the simple things in life. John resided in Raeford, NC and worked as a carpenter in Cumberland and Hoke counties and surrounding areas.

He will be greatly missed by family, friends and those that knew him.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
