Matthew Faour

 FAYETTEVILLE - Matthew Faour, 51, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday June 6, 2018.
He is survived by his mother, Martha Faour of Fayetteville; brother, Mark Faour (with whom he often enjoyed time on the golf course) and his family of Fayetteville; sister, Connie Faour Carroll (who is only 17 months older, not a year and a half, which he never let her forget) and her family of Indian Trail; sister, Christa Faour of Fayetteville (whose place often felt like their own version of Wayne's World when they hung out).
He was preceded in death by his father CW-4 Norman Ray Faour.
Matthew could be a man of few words, had a wry sense of humor and was incredibly patient and kind--all just like his Dad. Matthew would give someone his last $10 if they needed it more. For such a down-to-earth man he often worked at heights in trees and on roofs. He also always appreciated his work connection to Ski's.
There will be no service per Matthew's request. The family may have a get together at a later date.
In lieu of flowers to family, Matthew asked that anyone wanting to do a memorial please consider a donation to the Salvation Army of Fayettville, The Fayetteville Animal Protection Society where he sometimes volunteered, or to similar organizations in your area.
