Ronald Carter Obituary

Ronald Arthur Carter 57, passed October 11, 2019 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital. He was born June 10,1962 in Los Angeles, CA to Thomas and Ofelia (Guerrero) Carter and grew up in West Covina, CA where he moved from in 2015 and settled in Hope Mills, NC.

Many people knew Ron as “Big C” and he was known for his vibrant taste in music, his love of golf and the beach. Ron could always be found in the kitchen or behind the grill entertaining his friends and family. His laugh was contagious and could be heard across town. Ron was known for his compassion for others, for any hand that needed assistance and took great pride in his family and friends and especially loved being “Grampy”.

Ron is survived by his loving and supportive spouse Traci Martinez and their dog Gypsi.

His legacy is left with two sons, Ronald S. Carter and Sheldon W. Carter; one daughter, Jessica R. Carter; three grandchildren, Jacob Carter, Genevieve Castrejon, baby Sheldon Carter and soon to be arriving baby Ronnie Jr.

He also leaves behind bonus children P.J. Martinez, Alexis Martinez and Joshua Martinez, along with a bonus grandchild Alexander.

Ron said goodbye to his mother Ofelia Carter; three brothers, Tom, Randy and Vincent Carter, sister Debbie (Carter) Cruz and his godson Devon Solorio.

 He was preceded in death by his daughter Kaitlin Carter and father Thomas. 

Ron “Big C” is very much loved and will be greatly missed by those whose life he touched.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday November 2nd, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Hacienda Heights Christian Church, 15716 Tetley Street, Hacienda Heights, CA 91745. A reception will be held following the service with a light lunch and refreshments being served.
