Thomas E. Court, 64, of Fayetteville passed away suddenly on June 2, 2018.
He was born the oldest of six children to Beverly Court and the late Robert Court.
A natural athlete he excelled in many sports; swimming, running, hang gliding, freestyle snow skiing, ice hockey, car racing and golf.
He was the ultimate first responder and one of the first paramedics in the Detroit EMS in the 1970's. He then graduated from both Detroit Police Academy and Detroit Fire Academy.
In 1987 when he moved to Fayetteville with his wife, Deon, he concentrated on Law Enforcement. He joined the Spring Lake Police Department in 1988 and rapidly advanced from Patrol Officer to Detective to Major to Assistant Chief of Police. He retired in 2001.
In 2005 from 2013 he owned Not Quite Antiques in Fayetteville.
The accomplishment of which he was the proudest was his family, his wife of 33 years Dr. Deon Faillace and his four sons, Andrew (Rocket) Court, Ian (Tiger) Court, Jesse Court and Peter (Harley) Court. He loved being an avid soccer and football dad.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Better Health of Cumberland County or to his sons' college education.
A celebration of his life for his family and his many friends will be held at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 3 to 6 pm.
