Brenda Joyce (McClary) Stover

Brenda J. Stover, 69, of Hope Mills, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 20, 2023, at home surrounded by her husband, and children following her battle with malignant melanoma.

Brenda was born on May 12, 1954, the third daughter of Samuel and Nellie (Roumillat) McClary, in Charleston, SC, where she spent much of her time downtown and the local beaches, especially Folly. On July 20, 1985, at the Lazy B club in Charleston, she married her true soulmate who took her to her happy place, Walt Disney World, for the first time and many times after.

She is survived by her Husband and soulmate Douglas Stover, her children Garry Miller, Heather (Adrian) Quick, and Dustin (Lisa) Stover. Her older sisters, Estelle Byerly and Vivian (Kenneth) Nunn. Two nieces and one nephew.

Brenda will be cremated and then taken to Folly beach one last time and will also travel the world with her children.
