Carol Ann Shanahan

Carol Ann Shanahan, 84, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on August 1, 2024 after a short illness.

Carol was born on December 19, 1939 in Worcester, MA ad raised in St. Ann’s Orphanage until her adoption by Mr. and Mrs. Bangle of Springfield, MA.  Carol graduated from Cathedral High School in Springfield, MA and attended Mercy Hospital School of Nursing.

When her husband retired from the Army, Carol received a Certificate of Appreciation from the United States Army for her unselfish, faithful and devoted service to the Nation.

After 53 years of marriage, Carol is survived by her husband, William; two sons, Michael and William; daughter, Elaine; and three grandchildren, Nina Rose, Patrick, and Alexander.

As per Carol’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
