Elizabeth N. (Nowell) Thomas

Our mother, Elizabeth Nowell Thomas, died 9 March, 2017 in Dunn NC at the age of 90.
She had lived in Summerville and Charleston SC then retired to Seneca SC. She was preceded in death by her husband Rex Leroy Thomas, her daughter Patricia Rexanne Thomas Dupree, her brothers Arthur Nowell, John Nowell and sister Camilla Nowell Mabry.
Mom was survived by her daughters Camilla Thomas Turner, Arlene Thomas Moore, Louise Thomas Young and her son Rex Thomas Jr. She had 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
During her life she had been a member of the West Ashley Jaycets of Charleston, the Huguenot Society of South Carolina, and the Charlestown Chapter of the National Society of the Colonial Dames.
Mom volunteered on the church altar guilds for over 50 years at the Old St. Andrews Parish Episcopal Church in Charleston S C and the Church of the Ascension Episcopal Church in Seneca S C.
Rev. De-De Marshall will officiate a memorial service on April 1, 2017 Ascension Episcopal Church at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Church of the Ascension in Seneca S C.
