Music and entertaining was a large part of George’s life as he shared his talents and love of country music with others well into his nineties. George was a 70-year member of the Lillington Masonic Lodge where he became a Certified Lecturer. He was also a Shriner belonging to the Sudan Temple, New Bern, NC. Competitiveness was also a part of his nature, leading him to excel in golf (2 holes-in-one during the same round!), fishing, boating, skeet shooting and training his beloved hunting dogs.

After serving in the US Air Force, he was an Engineering Maintenance Technician at Ft. Bragg and later became a Real Estate Agent with Homeowners Ltd Real Estate Co.
