Gretchen Nicole (Williamson) Smith

Gretchen Nicole Smith, 50, born on October 14th, 1972, departed from her earthly life on May 27th, 2023. She was born to parents Leslie Williamson Sr. and Patricia Wright in Norristown, Pennsylvania. She grew up in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania and graduated from Plymouth Whitemarsh Senior High in 1990. Her favorite childhood pastimes were her dog, Toto; watching her favorite movies like Grease and The Wiz; and hanging out with her childhood best friends and cousins, Thad Graham and Melinda (Mindy) Waddles.

Gretchen is survived by her children; LaQuan Williamson (Pennsylvania), Precious Williamson (North Carolina), Dionne Smith (Texas); mother, Patricia Wright (Hatsfield, PA); sister, Jolan Wright McAdoo (Virginia Beach, VA); and brother, Leslie Williamson Jr. (Pennsylvania). 

She is predeceased by her father, Leslie Williamson Sr; her aunts, Brenda Gaines and Reda Waddles; and grandparents, Reda Merrimen-Culbreath and George Marvel Jr.  

Those that knew Gretchen loved her radiant smile, beautiful aura, and sense of humor. Her smile and energy could fill the darkest rooms and warm the coldest hearts. She was a protective friend/cousin, a loving daughter, and a doting mother. To love and be loved by Gretchen was incomparable. There will never be a woman quite like her again in this lifetime. Her family, friends, and children will miss her for all of eternity.
