“Heaven” by Henry Lee
Do you ever wonder what Heaven is like
Do you think about the pearly gates
See the streets of gold and purest light
Do you dream of seeing an old old friend
And dream of sharing a life that really did mend
A family lost long ago
That are now here and all a glow
Your mother, your father, your grandparents too
And learned that they are missing you
To find the peace you sought for so long
To hear Heaven’s most beautiful song
Know your time will come one day
To see this place so far away
And to know the love that does abound
On this Holiest of ground
But until the day your earthly life ends
Share God‘s word with enemy and friends
Tell the wondrous story of Jesus’ love
Of the many mansions built for us above
The solid rock on which you stand
Helped them move from the shifting sand
Point them to the happiness they all deserve
And show them the ways they might serve.
