Horace Timothy Peeples

Horace T. “Tim” Peeples, 77, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025 in Fayetteville, NC.  He was born on April 15, 1947 in Winston-Salem, NC, the son of Johnnie B. and Felicia A. G. Peeples.  Tim was preceded in death by his parents and one sibling.  He is survived by his wife, Mary Anne B. Peeples, and his brother, Paul E. Peeples.

Tim spent his early years at Camp Pendleton, CA, San Diego, CA, Havelock, NC, and Beaufort, SC, where his father served in the U. S. Marine Corps.   His family moved to Cumberland County, NC, after his father found employment on Fort Bragg.  He graduated from 71st High School in 1965 and graduated from Methodist College with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1969.

After his graduation from Methodist College, he found employment with the Cumberland County School system, teaching at Lewis Chapel and Westover Middle Schools. Tim was also a Coach with the athletics departments of those two schools, and taught Driver’s Education for many years.  He earned a Master’s Degree in Education from N. C. State University.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home from 1:30pm to 3:00pm.
