Johnnie Lee Richardson, 73, passed away on May 24, 2023.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his Mother, Lucy Mills, his Father, Enoch Mills of Spring Hope NC., and his Brother, Dan Richardson of Spring Hope NC.

Johnnie is survived by his Wife Sharon Duke-Richardson of Fayetteville NC, Sons, Matt Duke, formally from Fayetteville NC., now York, PA., Terry Richardson of Spring Hope NC., Daughter in law, Laura Duke and 2 Grandsons, Finn and Theo Duke of York, PA. Along with several Nieces and Nephews.

Johnnie was born in Nash County on March 1, 1950 and lived in Spring Hope until 2000, when he moved to Fayetteville NC. Johnnie served 2 years in the U.S. Army as Military Police and fought in the Vietnam War. He is a Purple Heart recipient. Johnnie touched the hearts of many people and several pets. He would help anyone that was in need. His gentleness and humor warmed a lot of hearts. He was known as the “BBQ grill master" and he enjoyed grilling for family and friends.
