Johnnye M (Daniels) Merkerson

Johnnye M Merkerson, 84, went to be with the Lord on March 1, 2023. She passed peacefully at home with her loving family in attendance.

Johnnye was born in Longview, Texas to the late Levy D. Daniels and Thelma Smith.

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Eva Lois Payne, Annette Carothers and Jesse Hart and her son: Levy G. Rudd. Johnnye leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Marie Shanklin, LaMarian (Freeman) Miller, James Laurence Rudd II, Harvey (Sharon) Merkerson, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins to five generations. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March, 15 2023, from 11 to 1 pm at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home.
