Karen Kim Cooper, 60, passed away Monday, August 19, 2024, at Cape Fear Valley Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Karen was born in Womack Army Hospital, NC on January 16, 1964. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Lundberg.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Cooper; her mother, Birgitta (Ender) Lundberg; her children, Victor Ayala, David Ayala, Lillian Ayala, Hunter McGhee; and 1 grandson, Nicholas Ayala. Karen is also survived by 3 brothers, Al and his wife Joy Lundberg, Robert and his wife Cindy Lundberg, and Herbert and his wife Shelly Lundberg.
Karen was a retired SSGT with the Cumberland County Deputy Sheriff's Department from May 3, 1994 to November 30, 2016. Karen touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home, 500 Ramsey St., Fayetteville, NC at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 23, 2024.
