Katye Lois Nunnery

Katye Lois Nunnery, 30, of Fayetteville, left her earthly home on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Katye was born in Cumberland County on June 20, 1988 and was the daughter of Tamera (Jones) Hughes and the late Samuel W. Nunnery, Sr.

Katye was preceded in death by her father: Samuel W. Nunnery, Sr., grandparents: Charles and Doris Jones, step-father: Darrell H. Hughes, and loving companion: Joseph A. Laureano.

In addition to her mother, Katye is survived by one son: Aidan Noah Nunnery of Fayetteville, one daughter: Jeneeta Elaine Laureano of Fayetteville, one brother: Edward Dewey Nunnery, Sr. of Fayetteville, one half-brother: Samuel Wesley Nunnery, Jr., one half-sister: Shannon Helmey of Fayetteville, and one step sister: Heather Marie Hughes of California. She also leaves a host of extended family and friends too numerous to mention.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 29 at 3 :00 p.m. at Culbreth Memorial United Methodist Church located at 1813 Sloan Ave in Fayetteville. The Reverend Heather D. Locklear, officiating.
