Kenneth Lyle Wood

Kenneth Lyle Wood, 58, passed from this earth and went back to God September 19, 2019.

Kenny was born June 10, 1961 in  Honolulu, Hawaii on the beautiful island of Oahu.

That was a fitting place of birth, because the beauty of that place matched the beauty of Kenny’s soul.

Kenny loved people and never had an enemy his whole life. He was always kind, giving, and helpful to everyone whose path he crossed.

He cared for everyone he knew except himself, good hearted to the core.

He graduated from South View High School in 1979 and then Fayetteville Technical Institute with a degree in Computer Programming.

Kenny joined the US Air Force in 1982 and served in Germany as well as Shaw AFB in SC and Barksdale

AFB in Louisiana.  He worked on the flight line maintaining Air Ground Equipment. He was honorably discharged in 1987. He then worked in the retail business for 20 years and

was employed in the security business at his death.

Ken is survived by his brother Ernest D. Wood, Jr. several nephews and a niece.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest D Wood, Sr. and

Christine A. Wood, brother Bruce Wayne Wood, and sister Diana Lynn Rogers.

He is interred at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery next to his parents, brother, and sister.

Rest in peace dear Son, Brother, and Friend.
