Linda Katherine Board Strother

Linda Katherine Board Strother was called to our Lord on Monday, July 5, 2021 at home with her family after a tough battle with cancer.

Linda was born December 23, 1952 in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky to the late Edgar and Ruby Board.

She worked as a Registered Nurse, where she obtained her passion for helping others.

Linda was an active member in her church and helped with children’s ministry and vacation bible school. She held a passion for working with kids. She coached softball, ran church nurseries and private childcare.

Linda is survived by her daughters, Cari Adkins, husband Chris and Alison Westbrook, husband Lee; her son Jonathan Strother and wife Dawn;  and 11 grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Jacey, Jonah, Jessalyn, Jack, Trenton, Ashtyn, Cody, Cayden, and Cohen.

Aside from her children and grandchildren, Linda is survived by her brother, Edgar Board Jr.; sister Wanda Heustess, husband Mike; brother Michael Board, wife Christy; nieces and nephews, Edgar Board III and family, Melissa Board and family, Aaron Heustess and family, Jessica Lee and family, Isaac Heustess and family, Coleman Board and family, and Tori Board.

Linda has spent her recent years in Fayetteville, NC in the company of her family and friends.

Celebration of Life services for Linda will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2505 Village Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28304.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Westminster Presbyterian Children’s Ministry.
