Marie Beaney Loveland

Marie Beaney Loveland went home to Jesus on October 17, 2022, surrounded by those that
loved her. Marie spent 78 wonderful years spreading joy and faith to any and all around her.
Marie was born to Oscar and Clara Belle Beaney on August 27, 1944 in Fayetteville, NC. She
grew up on a farm alongside her three brothers and two sisters, helping the family grow and
harvest assorted crops.
Marie’s passion for helping others, led her to study medicine at High Smith Rainey Nursing
School and pursue a long career as a registered nurse. In addition to being a medical
professional, Marie also enjoyed working as a director for Mary Kay, where she adopted her
infamous catch phrase, “I’m alive, alert and enthusiastic!”
Marie was introduced to her husband, John Loveland, in 1976 by mutual friends. They
married shortly thereafter on December 11, 1976, and went on to raise two children, Blaine
and Brad.
Marie became a grandmother in March of 2019, when her son Brad and his wife, Meredith,
welcomed their first child, Brantley. She was gifted a granddaughter, Evey, the following
year. Not a day went by where Marie didn't talk about how much her children, grandchildren
and family meant to her—her family was undoubtedly one of her most beloved achievements.
Marie held an unwavering faith in God throughout her life, which she shared with all those
who surrounded her. A loving and devoted woman, Marie used her God-given talents to serve
and help others up until the very end. She will be deeply missed.
Marie joins her parents, Oscar and Clara Belle, and her brother, Granvel, in Heaven. She is
survived by her husband, John; her children, Blaine and Brad (and wife, Meredith); her
grandchildren, Brantley and Evey; her sisters, Emily and Judy; and her brothers, Gerald and
Kelly.
A service in celebration of Marie’s life will be held on October 29, 2022, at 2 p.m. at The Village
Baptist Church in Fayetteville, NC. A receiving of friends will take place an hour prior to the
service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clara McLean House
