“We only part to meet again.”
After a lifetime of giving love, Mary has made her final trip home from North Carolina to Vermont, and her beloved husband.
Mary held a variety of jobs throughout her life, but it was her position as a manager at Ames Department store that cemented her role as a staple in her home community of Springfield, Vermont.
A love of nature ran deep in Mary’s soul, and she reveled in gardening, bird watching, and the playful antics of the chipmunk family residing in the stone wall behind her Vermont home.
Pre-deceased by her husband Richard Lawrence Chadwick, son Leon Robert, grandson Jason Robert, and granddaughter Jasmine Marie, Mary leaves behind two daughters, Moreen Elizabeth and Kathleen Ann (John), and a son, Shawn Michael along with her grandchildren, Abraxas Anne (Cheryl), Michael John (Gina), Rebecca Lynn (Justin), and Kassaundra Lee (Larry), and great-grandchildren, Rowan, Nora, and Lee.
Mary’s family extends their most sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the nurses, aides, and staff of Community Home Care & Hospice for going the extra mile to ensure her final days were lived in dignity, respect, and comfort.
Mary’s burial in Vermont will be scheduled at a later date, and per her wishes, there will be no formal memorial service or calling hours.
