Richard Darin Simmons

Richard Darin Simmons, 61 passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Simmons; son Christopher Simmons; father Lawrence Simmons; and brothers, Donnell and Kevin Simmons.

Richard is survived by his mother Shirley O. Simmons of Hope Mills; his son Ryan Simmons of Fayetteville; his two daughters, Shirley Wheeler and Karen Coptsias both of Fayetteville; his sister Pamela Harris of Fayetteville; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Richard will be remembered as a wonderful person who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A private Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
