Stephen Dwight Nixon

Stephen Dwight “Nick” Nixon, 73 of Grays Creek, NC passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024. He was born November 10,1950 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. His family later moved to Fayetteville, North Carolina.

His love of cars led him to mechanic work where he was a dedicated employee at PWC for 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Nick always made a point to watch the NASCAR race on Sundays, pulling for
Dale Earnhardt, Sr. whenever he could. When he wasn’t enjoying his favorite pastimes, he could usually be found spending time with his German Shepherds.

He is survived by his wife Hazel; children Timmy Nixon (Tammy), Stevie Yeomans, Ferna Selph, Chris Davis (Jeff); daughter-in-law, Niki Nixon; Brother, Cecil Nixon (Carlene); Grandchildren, Cade Nixon, Krista Smith (Ryan), Christopher Selph, Deanna Selph, Addie Thompson, Allen Davis (Alex), Abbi Davis, Hannah Chadwick; five great-grandchildren and loyal companions Sheba and Gracie.

He was preceded in death by his son Jason Nixon; Parents Jack and Agnes Nixon; Brothers, Monte “Doc” Nixon, Richard Nixon and Jack Nixon; and loyal companions Luke and Tessie.

Per Nick’s wishes, there will be no service.
