Teresa Diane Blackwell

Teresa Blackwell passed from this life into the arms of her heavenly Father on Thursday afternoon April 15, 2021. She was surrounded by her brothers and sisters who are saddened by her passing but have found joy in the knowledge of her homecoming and that she was reunited with her parents and other loved ones.

Teresa was born in Hartsville, SC on June 2, 1965. As her family moved several times during her developmental years, she attended different schools, and graduated from Chapman High School, Inman, SC in 1983. She attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC.

Through the years, Teresa lived in several locations as she enjoyed different occupations. In the early 2000’s, she moved to Fayetteville, NC. Soon after moving there, she found her career calling and the joy of her life in working with animals. Along with her friend and partner she became a co-owner of Carolina Pet Care Services, Inc.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents James M. Blackwell, Sr. and Rose Clayton Blackwell, and a nephew. She is survived by her brothers David Randall Blackwell (Patricia) and James Marion Blackwell Jr. (Bridgette), her sisters, Pam B. DuBose (Michael) and Lisa B. Edwards (Charles), her nieces and nephews, and numerous friends and associates. 

Her life will be celebrated at a Memorial Service at 1 PM on May 15, 2021 at Fayetteville Community Church, 2010 Middle River Loop Road, Fayetteville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fayetteville Community Church or to Fayetteville Animal Protection Service in Teresa’s name.
