 Thomas Floyd Bates, Sr.

Thomas F. Bates, Sr., 76, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017. He is survived by two sons: Ricky Bates and wife Donna of Fayetteville, NC, Michael Bates of Fayetteville, NC; one daughter, Sherry Fulton of Fayetteville, NC; one brother, Chuck Bates and wife Margaret of Greensboro, AL; one sister Rachel Crump and husband Dr. David Crump of Greensboro, AL,  eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Thomas Bates, Jr., one brother Clarence Bates and one sister Louise Wright.

             Officiating a graveside service is Pastor Gary Leviner at Oak Ridge Cemetery in St. Pauls, NC on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 2:00 pm. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
